ABOUT
Linda Bretti founded Linda Richards in New York in 1985 with a singular vision — luxury outerwear that you would actually live in. A graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology, where she was awarded the prestigious Lucille Coleman Scholarship for Excellence in Fashion Design & Merit in Textile Science, and alumna of Bloomingdale's executive training program, she brought rigorous technical knowledge and an innate understanding of how people dress to every piece she designed.
Trained alongside the names that defined American and worldwide fashion — Calvin Klein, Donna Karan, Missoni — she has spent four decades translating that fluency into pieces that are as considered as they are wearable. Her work has been recognized in Vogue, Women's Wear Daily, Good Housekeeping, and the Ladies Home Journal, and her designs have found their way onto screen in Sleepless in Seattle and Who's the Boss.
She travels extensively through Europe, Asia, and the South Pacific, returning each season with a deeper understanding of elegance, proportion, and the individual she designs for.
After three decades at the heart of New York's fashion district, Linda Richards established a new home in Westchester, NY — consolidating every facet of the house under one roof. As President, Linda remains involved in every aspect of the business, from design and production to sales, promotion, and customer service.
